Wedding Shoes From Bliss That We Can’t Resist

One of our Twitter followers, BlissBridalShoes.com, at Twitter.com/BlissBridalShoe has absolutely amazing bridal shows on their site. I’m a shoe shopaholic, so I was smitten as soon as I saw their site. Even if you’re wearing a long wedding dress, having wedding shoes you absolutely adore on your wedding day is a must. Chances are you’ll never wear them again, but when you see these gems, you’ll change your tune:

Benatti:

Ella (to let loose at the reception – pretty flip flops are a very popular reception hall trend right now!):

Tresca:

Frisee:

They’re all sold on a limited edition basis, so you can be sure that you’re one of only a select few brides walking down the aisle in a pair of these beautiful shoes. Check out their Where To Buy for their retail and online locations.

Because A Million Moments Make That Day Memorable

Say hello to Kelly McWilliams, destination wedding planner and author of the witty and very interesting WeddingBySocialites.Blogspot.com wedding blog, as well as DestinationNaplesWeddings.com and Brideslibrary.Blogspot.com. We found the always vibrant Kelly at Twitter.com/Weddingtidbits, where she posts smart wedding advice and everyday thoughts from her own life. We instantly started reading her engaging posts on WeddingBySocialites.Blogspot.com – they’re full of great, practical wedding advice for brides who want to add personality and a dash of the unique to their weddings without spending a great deal of money.

Kelly’s post, “Elegant & Modern Wedding Centerpieces & Tablescapes” has one of the most innovative wedding ideas we’ve seen recently! Kelly calls it a “Cheap but Chic alert”, and she’s 100% accurate. She advises brides to choose a simple but stunning table decoration, as well as choose only a few, but very lush, flower arrangements to liven up a plain room.

Wedding Centerpieces

We especially want to highlight (and shout from the rooftops!) her post, “My advice is this; it’s your wedding. Live it”. She notes that too many brides get caught up in making sure their day is picture-perfect to really appreciate the moments that make their wedding day truly unforgettable.

Be sure to check out WeddingBySocialites.Blogspot.com, as well as DestinationNaplesWeddings.com and Brideslibrary.Blogspot.com. Thanks Kelly for the great blog posts.

Anne Chertoff’s Wedding Planning Advice – From “I Will” To “I Do”

While wandering around online, I came across Anne Chertoff’s great wedding blog, From “I Will” to “I Do”. Anne is the Senior Editor at Brides.com, and has also worked at Modern Bride, Martha Stewart Weddings, and iVillageWeddings, so this bright lady certainly knows a thing or two about weddings! She posts on practical wedding advice, wedding events, and tips for every aspect of your wedding.

Anne Chertoff

We especially loved her post, “Don’t Flub Your Wedding Vows”, in light of Justice Robert’s recent mix up while administering the Presidential oath to President Obama. Weddings are such a rush of emotion that no matter how hard you practice, there’s a big chance you may forget, so it’s okay to discreetly have a card on hand to remember your vows.

Wedding Vows

From “I Will” to “I Do” also highlights must-do wedding events for brides, such as the upcoming “Wedding Fashion and Planning Event in NYC” on January 31st. Wedding experts will be on hand to talk about all things wedding planning, so this event is great for soon-to-be brides in every stage of wedding planning. Thanks for the tip, Anne!

Anne is an expert at wedding planning, so be sure to check out her very informative and inspiring wedding blog, From “I Will” to “I Do”.

5 Ways to Green Your Special Day

Green Weddings

Weddings are all about the growth of a couple as they depart on a journey of a lifetime. Like a flower, the seeds of love are planted in the beginning of a relationship and then blossom on the wedding day. If you’ve just recently become engaged, or if you’re starting to plan your wedding, it’s time to start thinking about ways to make your wedding day a little bit more like a garden. It’s time to start thinking about lending a little green to your special occasion. PWPOnline.com offers up these ten tips on how to make your eco-friendly wedding both beautiful and budget friendly. Enjoy!

1.Place Cards
Instead of going for paper place cards, opt to write your guests’ names on stones using chalk, or make home made place cards out of scraps of cardboard and colorful markers.

2.Favors
PWPOnline.com has a great selection of Wedding Favors that are designed with the green wedding in mind. Choose from several different flower seed varieties to pick the one that’s right for your wedding colors or theme.

3.Rings
Try picking out a non-traditional ring that uses eco-friendly diamonds and gold made with fair labor practice. Or check out some of the conflict-free gem rings that are available. Recycled jewelry and hand me down heirlooms also work well.

4.Location
Choosing a location for your wedding that’s central to most of your guests will cut down on CO2 production caused by travel.

5.Confetti
For your guests, opt to use dried flower petals or biodegradable confetti instead of rice to throw.
