Hiring a Wedding Planner

For a busy couple on the go, hiring a wedding planner is a smart choice. If it fits your budget, a wedding planner will save you time and stress – neither of which you have any to spare.

If you are considering a wedding planner start thinking about finding him/her one year in advance. It’s also important when selecting your designer, to choose someone you are comfortable with because you’ll be spending lots of time with this person. Also, get second opinions. The last thing you want is a wedding-gone-bad because of a poor designer. A reputable wedding planner with gladly give out reference names and numbers. If they are secretive about giving out names it may be because their former clients weren’t pleased.

After you’ve found the perfect planner start off with a budget. Without a budget your wedding fees can get way ahead of you. Once the budget is in place you get to start the planning. The planner will help you choose everything from A to Z including, your ceremony location, reception venue, menu, cake, flowers, photographer, videographer, wedding favors and more.

No detail is too small or task too large for your planner. They are there as your personal assistant to make the wedding planning process a joyful and stress-free experience.
Don’t be bashful; be sure to point out all your likes and dislikes, your favorite flowers, and your thoughts for the perfect wedding favors. With a great wedding planner you’ll have the event you’ve always dreamt of!

Say Cheese! Document Your Relationship with Photo Album Wedding Favors

If you’re anything like me you loooove photos. I simply can’t get enough. I scrapbook like crazy – I mean, even the employee’s at the local craft store know be my name. So, if you’re half the enthusiast I am, what better day to celebrate your obsession with pictures then on your wedding day?

Are you thinking to yourself your day just would not be complete if it weren’t decked out in photo of your friends and family? If so, you’ve come to the right place.

Idea #1 Wedding invitation – Using Photoshop, design personalized invitations with pictures of you and your spouse, or you, your spouse and the invitee. There is nothing like sending someone a personalized invitation to set the mood and let them know how important they are to your big day.

Idea #2 Ceremony images – Include framed portraits of loved ones who passed away; this way they are there in spirit as well as a in a picture.

Idea #3 Place cards – Instead of boring cards with only the guests name and table number listed, give guests picture frame wedding favors with a favorite picture of you and your spouse. Let each table number stand as a different picture.

Idea #4 Table Place Cards – Then, instead of a numerical card on each table, feature a larger 8×10 matching photo. This way guests will get to go table by table matching your picture to their table picture.

Place card wedding favors come in an assortment of styles, sizes and price ranges. So, no matter what your theme or budget, there is a photo place card holder that will be perfect to display your favorite pictures.

I Found The Wedding Favors From “Made of Honor” with Patrick Dempsey!

Who didn’t love “Made of Honor” with the always adorable Patrick Dempsey and amazing Michelle Monaghan? Did anyone else notice the cute blue box candle wedding favors that look like they’re straight out of Tiffany’s?

I was so excited to see these wedding favors again! I first noticed the small blue box-shaped candles while watching the series finale of The King of Queens, and there they were again in the hit movie “Made of Honor”. They’re tiny blue gift-box-shaped candles with a white wax ribbon – a classy and cute modern spin on tradition by Kate Aspen. The little blue candle, which, incidentally, is much cheaper than those other “little blue boxes”, (but I’d love some diamonds too!) is tucked inside a clean white paper box with a satin blue ribbon reading “something blue”. There’s a few wedding favors sites out there that have the Made of Honor Something Blue Candle Wedding Favors (shameless self promotion!), such as PWPOnline.com.

Check out the Made of Honor trailer – you have to see this movie!

Black And White Wedding Favors

When you are planning your wedding theme colors, sometimes it can be as easy as black and white. Recently with more wedding going with more of a retro look, the black and white combination, if used correctly, can make any wedding shine.

You can start of easily with the HeartLights Frosted Glass Heart Candles that will light your guests’ hearts with a white beautiful scented candle. This will put that romantic feeling in any wedding reception out there. With the gorgeous white candles you can add the Black Mini Cube Boxes. These very elegant boxes give that true perfection to your wedding as it also gives you the ability to add other candy or chocolates to make sure your guests are leaving with that true smile.

Going along with the black and white theme you can also give your guests the pleasure of having a “Passport to Love” Passport Cover or the Destination Love Cruise Ship Luggage Tag. For the travel savvy couple you can customize the text to your liking on the passport cover to say thank you to your guests. And if your reception is on a gorgeous ship, the best way to say thank you for your guests traveling to your special day is with luggage tags.

I know any of these wedding favors will make your special day shine!

Let Candles Light the Way on Your Wedding Day

The 2006 nuptials of Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman to country super-star Keith Urban was a real-life fairytale, complete with an all-candlelight ceremony. The stunning beauty, dressed in a custom Balenciaga gown, walked down the aisle on the arm of her father, followed by a spotlight and surrounded by hundreds of flickering candles.

Sound like even more of a fairytale then the one you dreamt of? You must admit, there’s something romantic and whimsical about the soft, flickering light of a candle. Its glow leaves you feeling passionate, warm and loved and Nicole Kidman’s fairytale can be your own.

Though an outdoors wedding may be a bit challenging to illuminate by candles, a chapel or church is the perfect setting. Just about every church has end-aisle candelabras. Utilize as many of those that are available. Additionally, display candles on the altar, the windows sills, all tabletops and even in the pews. The romance and sophistication of a candlelit ceremony will leave your guests in awe and future brides looking to emulate your big day.

Carry that beauty and ambiance onto your reception with beautiful candle wedding favors. They will not only give your reception that same romantic soft glow, candle wedding favors are the perfect way for guests to remember your big day.

Additionally, candles are an inexpensive way to give that Hollywood movie-star appeal to your fantasy wedding day. From start to finish, your love will shine bright with a candlelit ceremony and reception.

What Season Bride Are You?

For some, choosing the season to solidify your love can be a daunting task. If you have a job that sets the schedule for you then choosing a date is a piece of cake. If you or your spouse is a school teacher your only option is summer, really. Accountant – forget anything between January and April 15th. Retail Management – holidays and back to school are out. But if you’re one of the lucky few who have an occupation that doesn’t control your schedule you’re going to have to start negotiating with your future spouse about the time of year.

So, what season bride are you?

Spring – Love the chirping of birds, the renewal of life and the fresh bloom of the season’s flowers? If so, spring is the perfect time for you. Pastels are your colors, tulips are in season and Spring Wedding Favors of butterflies, flowers and sweet edible treats will put the perfect finishing touches on your wedding day.

Summer – Are you and your fiancée beach babes who love sun-kissed skin, waves at your back and sand between your toes? If that’s a definitive yes, then a summer soiree is for you. Gather your family and friend’s sea-side for an ocean-view ceremony followed by an intimate party of fresh, locally caught seafood entrees and Beach Wedding Favors of seashells, sand and more.

Winter – Winter brides are like none other. If making a bold statement against conformity is your style then a winter wedding is for you. Winter weddings carry an air of romance, sophistication, grace and elegance that’s hard to match any other time of year. Celebrate with family and friends, surrounded by twinkling white lights, pines, poinsettias, a backdrop of snow and the perfect Winter Wedding Favors.

Fall – Does the changing of the leaves, the slight chill in the air and the thought of Halloween and Thanksgiving put a skip in your step? If you’re a lover of pumpkins, cider and warm apple pie, then fall is the season of love for you. Colors are rich, entrée choices are delectable and Fall Wedding Favors of acorns, leaves, and individualized tea packets are just as unique.

No matter what season bride you decide on for your wedding there’s a color, theme, style and wedding favors that are sure to match your eclectic taste.
